PIK aka Pantai Indah Kapuk is one of the most interesting places I have ever visited in Jakarta. Before coming there, I had seen many photos and videos on social media, but seeing the place in person was a completely different experience. There were many things that caught my eye and made me enjoy every moment of my visit.
The first thing that impressed me was the beach in PIK 2. It was much cleaner than I expected. The sand was clean, the walking area was well maintained, and the overall environment looked neat tbh. I also noticed that the facilities were complete. There were clean restrooms, benches, food stalls, parking areas, and many places where visitors could relax. Everything was designed to make people feel comfortable during their visit.
One of the most popular attractions in PIK 2 is Aloha. It is a beachside area with many restaurants, cafes, and open spaces where people can enjoy the sea breeze. The atmosphere is relaxing, especially in the afternoon and evening. Many visitors come here to take photos, enjoy the sunset, or simply spend time with their family and friends.
Although PIK is quite far from where I live, getting there was not difficult. I used the TransJakarta bus, and it was an easy and affordable way to travel. Public transportation made the journey much more convenient, so I did not have to worry about driving or finding a parking space. I think this is one of the reasons why many people choose to visit PIK.
Another thing that caught my attention was the number of iconic landmarks around the area. Every corner looked unique and attractive. Many buildings and public spaces have modern designs, making them perfect for taking photos. I saw many people walking around with cameras or smartphones because there were so many beautiful spots to capture. Even if someone is not interested in photography, the scenery is still enjoyable to look at.
One thing that surprised me was the entrance policy for the beach in PIK 2. Visitors can enter for free as long as they follow the beach's Instagram account. I think this is a smart and creative idea because it helps promote the destination while allowing visitors to enjoy the beach without paying an entrance fee.
I also visited Pantjoran, which is located in PIK 1. It has a completely different atmosphere from PIK 2. The area is inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and is famous for its street food, cultural decorations, and colorful buildings. Walking around Pantjoran felt like stepping into a different place, and I really enjoyed exploring it.
What I liked the most was the atmosphere. Walking around PIK made me feel as if I were visiting another country. The modern architecture, wide streets, beautiful waterfront, and clean environment created an international vibe. It felt like I was on a short vacation abroad without actually leaving Indonesia. That was one of the most memorable parts of my visit.
There were still many places that I did not have enough time to explore. If I have another opportunity to visit PIK, I want to discover more attractions and spend more time enjoying the area. La Riviera is at the top of my list because I have seen many beautiful pictures of it. I would love to walk around, take more photos, and experience its unique atmosphere.
Overall, PIK gave me a very positive impression. It is a clean, modern, and comfortable destination with many interesting attractions. Whether visiting Pantjoran in PIK 1 or relaxing at Aloha and the beach in PIK 2, there is always something enjoyable to experience. I hope I can return someday to explore even more of what PIK has to offer.
